Founder, One Stop Change Solutions

I’ve been a qualified therapist for over 25 years, and throughout that time, I’ve always aimed to bring warmth, honesty, and professionalism to every session. People often tell me that my approachable, down-to-earth style helps them feel comfortable right from the start.

Over the years, I’ve managed two practices — 1-1 Counselling and now One Stop Change Solutions. My work has taken me across a wide range of settings, including rehab centres, women’s refuges, and family support services, giving me extensive experience with many emotional and psychological challenges.

Today, I offer a broader range of services, including coaching, hypnotherapy, mentoring, clinical supervision, EMDR , NLP and OVD Services, allowing me to support clients through a variety of approaches tailored to their needs.

I’m also happy to offer remote sessions via Zoom, WhatsApp, and phone because I believe support should be accessible no matter your schedule or location.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Addiction-Informed
Counselling & Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy works with subconscious and nervous-system patterns that drive addictive or compulsive behaviour. Rather than relying on willpower, it helps reduce the internal need for substances or behaviours used to cope.
Yes, when delivered in a trauma-informed and safety-first way. This approach avoids force, confrontation, or loss of control and is paced according to nervous-system capacity.
No. Progress does not require reliving or repeatedly retelling traumatic experiences. The focus is on present-day patterns and regulation, not re-exposure.
Because drinking is often a response to nervous-system stress rather than a lack of motivation. Willpower attempts to override the system instead of addressing why alcohol is needed.
It means understanding addiction and compulsive behaviours as coping strategies rather than moral failings, and working with the underlying reasons they exist.
Yes. Integrating counselling and hypnotherapy allows insight and understanding to be matched with deeper, non-verbal change, without starting again with different professionals.
Yes. Regulation-based approaches are often more effective and less shaming for people with ADHD than rigid or discipline-based models.
Many people seek support while functioning externally but feeling exhausted internally. Therapy can help before crisis develops.
This includes alcohol use, emotional eating, overworking, avoidance, and other behaviours used to manage emotional or nervous-system overload.
There is no fixed timeline. The pace is guided by safety, capacity, and what the nervous system can integrate.
Yes. Relapse is treated as information rather than failure, often highlighting what still needs support.
It is supervision that recognises the demands of addiction and trauma work, focusing on practitioner capacity, ethics, and sustainability.
